The Cedars is an 18-hole public golf course owned by Robert E. and Diane Slagle and designed by Bob Taylor of R.D. Designs.
Located on the golf course property are an approximately 6,528 sq ft Pro Shop, a 30x100 foot cart storage building, an approximately 30x90 foot maintenance building, and an events shelter. There is also a deli located in the Pro Shop, as well as a 19th Hole Lounge operated by an outside party. At the present time there are five completed rooms above the Pro Shop, and additional space is available for building additional rooms.
The course and surrounding mountainous land makes up approximately 358+/- acres, with the Golf Course covering approximately 110+/- acres. It is located just off Volunteer Parkway at 115 Cedar Creek Road in Bristol, Tennessee. The Cedars is situated within the city limits of Bristol and can be accessed from US Highway 11E via Avoca Road and Cedar Creek Road. The property is approximately 2 miles northeast of Bristol Motor Speedway.
The Bristol Motor Speedway hosts two NASCAR races each year, as well as other racing and entertainment events. A portion of The Cedars property shares approximately 154 feet of common boundary with the Thunder Valley Dragway area of Bristol Motor Speedway. This portion of The Cedars could be developed with NASCAR and Bristol Motor Speedway in mind.
